The Algoma District Services Administration Board delivers social and paramedic services to 20 municipalities and the unorganized townships in the District of Algoma. Our Finance and Corporate Administration Department is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the full-time position of:
Financial Analyst – Payroll, Head Office – Little Rapids

This is a full-time, salaried position scheduled 36.25 hours per week and reports to the Manager of Finance. The Financial Analyst – Payroll’s key responsibilities include:
– payroll administration and services for our 150+ hourly and salaried employees who serve the public throughout the ADSAB member communities in Algoma District;
– financial administrative support to the Manager and Director of Finance, including data collection and compilation, and performing financial reconciliations and analyses.

This job requires strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff and other departments, as well as external contacts such as Canada Revenue Agency, Employment and Social Development Canada and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and to prepare high quality written documents, correspondence and e-mail communications. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, and Sage 3000 or a comparable business management system, including accounting, payables, payroll, and time and attendance software/modules are required skills. This job requires a minimum two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant discipline, preferably in payroll administration, bookkeeping or accounting, and ideally, Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation. The Financial Analyst – Payroll must demonstrate an advanced level of speed and accuracy with data entry, and excellent attention to detail. The ability to maintain trust and confidentiality, and to treat personal and financial information with discretion are essential to this position. Current knowledge of applicable corporate and employment-related legislation must be maintained, and the incumbent will be required to effectively learn and implement new technologies and processes for day-to-day financial operations.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates the professionalism, integrity and interpersonal skills required to represent the ADSAB’s Finance and Corporate Administration in an effective and positive manner, and who can work effectively with staff throughout the organization and collaborate cross-functionally with all ADSAB departments.

The salary for this full-time management group position is $76,686.65 to $92,024.00 per year and OMERS pension plan membership is effective with the date of hire. We offer competitive vacation entitlement, the opportunity for flex hours, and 13 paid holidays per year. Full-time Employees are eligible for our generous benefits plan, and premiums are 100% employer-paid.
