Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Part-Time-

Aviora Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our growing home care team in Elliot Lake and surrounding communities.

We provide personalized in-home care services that help seniors and adults maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and fall prevention
Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
Perform light housekeeping and laundry
Provide companionship and emotional support
Accompany clients to medical appointments and community outings when required
Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans
Deliver compassionate, respectful, and professional care
Qualifications

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or equivalent healthcare training required
Previous home care or community care experience is an asset
Current CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to employment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
