Breakaway Sports & Cycle is looking for a Retail Manager

Demonstrated ability to retain product knowledge and learn new skills related to bicycle, ski and canoe sales.

Demonstrated ability to learn point of sales, computer and spreadsheet programs;

Interest in outdoor adventure/ cycling/ paddling is a bonus;

Able to plan, organize, and delegate work effectively and ensure its completion;

Dependable and adaptable; ability to manage multiple projects.

Job Responsibilities

Act as an excellent customer service ambassador through being the face of the company, greeting all customers, meeting their needs and performing high quality sales;

Commit to gaining knowledge of products (clothing, footwear, bicycles, skis, camping gear, etc…) to be able to help the customer make selections;

Develop basic mechanical skills related to bicycle sales such as bicycle safety checks, installing basic accessories, etc;

Selecting and ordering retail products by attending vendor shows or choosing items from the catalogues; 

Regular inventory counts and re-ordering as need be;

Planning promotions, executing social media campaigns, and maintaining the online website;

Social media advertisements – goal of one quality post per week;

Resolving customer issues;

Ensuring store cleanliness and organization standards are met;

Other related responsibilities as directed by the owner.

Jobs Available: 

Full-time–Permanent: Monday- Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Part-time– 3 days/week plus occasional Saturdays.

Salary: 

Full time starting at $21.00/hr. Wage reviews at 3 and 6 months and 1 year.

Part time starting at $19.50/hr. Wage reviews at 3 and 6 months and 1 year.
