The Justice Case Manager – Enhanced Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team will work in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Services (GSPS) to respond to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. This role is part of a joint police/mental health initiative aimed at reducing emergency room visits due to mental health and substance use concerns and preventing involvement with the criminal justice system.

Qualifications:
• Completion of a Degree in a health or social services related discipline. 
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License & access to a reliable vehicle. 
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, afternoons and evenings as part of the MCCRT rotation. Weekends will be required when the rotation expands. 
• Certification in First Aid & CPR, ASIST, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and WHIMIS. If certification is not current, training will be required as part of orientation. 
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the mental health field. 
• Knowledge of Mental Health legislation, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Criminal Code of Canada and of the court system, Child and Family legislation, Tenant Protection Act and Long-Term Care Act.
