· Coordinate the organization’s financial planning and budgeting processes;
· Monitor the financial performance of funding agreements and ensure compliance with funder requirements;
· Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and periodic financial reports;
· Manage cash flow and monitor organizational liquidity;
· Oversee accounting operations, payroll administration, employee benefits, and the administration of the HOOPP pension plan;
· Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements;
· Coordinate the annual external audit process;
· Prepare financial documentation and reports for the Board of Directors;
· Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, financial institutions, insurers, and funding agencies;
· Provide financial advice and support to leadership and managers on financial matters;
· Coordinate the administration of insurance policies and maintain relationships with insurance brokers and providers;
· Participate in the identification, assessment, and management of the Centre’s financial and
contractual risks;
· Oversee the administrative management of leases and agreements related to the Centre’s
premises;
· Coordinate the accounting and administrative management of the Centre’s capital assets;
· Participate in the budget planning of capital projects and capital asset requirements;
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director and within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable;
· Knowledge of accounting standards applicable to not-for-profit organizations;
· Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management;
· Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, and cash flow management;
· Experience supervising staff;
· Experience in the healthcare sector, a not-for-profit organization, or a publicly funded organization is considered an asset;
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines;
· Sound professional judgment, discretion, and integrity;
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
· Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written;
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
WORK CONDITIONS:
· Salary range: $80,136.41 to $98,914.55 per year;
