The City is seeking a qualified Director of Public Works to oversee all operations within the department, including Water and Wastewater Treatment, Roads Maintenance, Solid Waste Management, Transit, and more.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), this leadership role ensures compliance with legislated and regulatory requirements to safeguard public health and safety, while planning, and managing
municipal services to align with corporate goals.

As a collaborative and innovative leader, you will efficiently plan and manage departmental operations within budgetary constraints. You will oversee maintenance programs for fleet and facilities, ensuring
optimal value through effective contract administration. The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive who has led the development of long-term strategic plans that sustainably address future growth and
infrastructure needs. A skilled people manager, you are an effective communicator and possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while fostering innovation in operations. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, along with proven leadership experience in managing unionized teams, are essential for success in this role.
