Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Hold a valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Have reliable access to a vehicle to respond quickly to emergency scenes
Be familiar with the streets and neighbourhoods of Elliot Lake
Able to follow direction from Fire Department officers with professionalism
Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Capable of performing calmly and effectively under stressful, high-pressure situations
Willing and able to participate fully in all required Fire Service training and certification
Able to pass annual department physical fitness test
Able to pass a vulnerable sector criminal background check
Able to pass a medical examination and be confirmed fit for duty by a qualified physician
