Job Title: Relief Daycare Worker / Child Care Assistant
Location: 943 Main Street Dokis First Nation
About Us:
A nurturing and play-based early learning center dedicated to fostering the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 18 months to 4 years.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Relief Daycare Worker to provide support to our childcare team to cover shifts when regular staff are unavailable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and care for groups of children, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
· Assist with daily routines, including feeding, napping, hygiene and documentation.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, including tidying learning areas, cleaning up after meals, and ensuring toys and equipment are sanitary.
· Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, crafts, singing, and free play, tailored to their age and developmental stage.
· Be flexible and adaptable to fill in for various shifts and provide support where needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
· A genuine love for children and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
· Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
· Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR certificate is required.
· Vulnerable Sector Check required.
