Store Manager – Your Dollar Store With More

The Wikwemikong Development Commission is seeking a highly motivated and well organized individual to fill the position of Store Manager. The Store Manager reports directly to Enaadmaagehjik General Manager and will be responsible for the operations of Your Dollar Store With More.

General Duties:
1. Develops, maintains and administers a sound business and organizational plan for the business, which includes an operating, human resources, business and marketing plan.
2. Hires, develops and supervises all key employees of the business and ensures that all employees have the necessary certification.
3. Consistently assures that the business is operated in accordance with all applicable local municipal, provincial and federal laws.
4. Oversees the care and maintenance of the business’ physical assets and facilities.
5. Ensures the highest standards in customer service and will work toward and achieve ISO Certification. 6. Analyzes financial statements (income and expenses) relative to budgeted goals and takes corrective measures as necessary.
7. Oversees the Point of Sale’s Operational systems and ensures inventory is maintained.
8. Ensures the accuracy and accounting of all sales transactions.
9. Will be responsible for the cash management procedures.
10. Prepares and presents financial and operational reports to the Wikwemikong Development Commission’s Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
11. Responsible for hiring, scheduling, supervising and directing the work of employees in the retail store.
12. Will attend to all marketing and sales activity to attract customers and organizations to patronage the store, will attend required trade shows, visiting organizations and tend to all media relations.
13. Participates in outside activities to enhance the presence and brand of the Your Dollar Store With More in the local community and regional communities.
14. Will research and actively pursue other goods and products for resale.
15. Other applicable duties/responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have 3-5 years related management experience in operating a business, with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
• Post-secondary education in business or commerce is an asset.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented.
• Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and flexible hours.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers, accounting/database software and Point of Sale systems.
• Must have extensive human resource background in supervisory, coaching and staff development experience. • Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the retail industry.
• Must have a valid G driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required.
• Must be bondable, therefore, a clear and current CPIC (last 90 days) will be required upon hiring.
