Position: Awake Night Attendant

Scope:
Under the direct supervision of the North Lodge Program Manager and overall supervision of the Executive Director, the Awake Night Attendant is expected to monitor clients, maintain the overnight security, conduct random room checks, prepare daily group paperwork and contribute to the general housekeeping. While not in-program the applicant will have the chance to workday shift to prepare for the start of program and assist the lodge with general housekeeping.
Responsibilities:
Ensure general housekeeping of office and program rooms.
Ensure the overall housekeeping of the Lodge is maintained and meets health code regulations.
To work in partnership with a team to ensure families are monitored via camera and random room checks.
Ensuring all program-oriented material is posted and ready for next day.
Ensuring safety and the client’s needs are met while in residence.
While off program, be capable of working flexible hours to assist in prepping for next program.
Completing/Filing Serious Occurrence’s when deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
Willing to work flexible hours including night shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Basic counselling, conflict resolution/crisis intervention skills an asset.
Be aware of crisis/emergency response practices.
Be able to work independently and team oriented.
Be respectful and sensitive to client’s issues, needs and concerns.
Be a role model in the community.
Have or willing to obtain CPR/First Aid, NVCI or other required trainings.
Must be willing to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary: $43,000-$45,000 per year
Additional 4% vacation pay on top of base salary
3-weeks paid vacation and sick time (accrued).
