General Contractor / Carpenter Lead Hand

We are a growing construction company looking for a skilled and motivated General Contractor / Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential and/or commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work hands-on while guiding a team on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute day-to-day construction activities on-site

• Lead and support a crew of carpenters and laborers

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers

• Troubleshoot issues and offer practical solutions

• Communicate progress and issues with management

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry and general contracting experience

• Experience in leading crews and managing job sites

• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

• Own tools and reliable transportation

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset
