GardaWorld is seeking a compassionate and skilled Security Guard to join our Hospital Security team in Mindemoya, ON.  As a first point of contact for patients, families and staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.  This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain transferable skills for future careers in Law Enforcement, Corrections or for advancement within the security industry or the Security Professional that wants to build their security career while making a positive impact on their community. 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate motivation for wanting to work in a hospital setting, be able to always provide exceptional customer service and be physically able to move to and address emergent situations in a timely manner. At the Mindemoya Hospital, Security is your priority and your high-level Communication skills and ability to work cohesively within the Hospital team to support staff and patrons is key. This highly sought after location is going to be your opportunity to build a successful security team that puts the safety of the hospital and its patients first and foremost.  

Starting Pay Rate: $23.75/Hour

Schedule: Continental rotation – 20:00 – 08:00

FULL TIME continental rotation (Week #1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday /  Week #2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Applicants MUST be able to work the full schedule to be selected.

What does a Security Guard in Mindemoya do?
Ensure the safety of people and property and keeping the peace 
Enforce safety procedures and standards 
Escort and assist anyone as needed  
Intervene during an emergency or crisis 
Patrol Hospital site and provide Access Control

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Mindemoya
A valid security guard license and first aid certificate 
Available to work flexible hours 
Have a clear criminal background 
Be eligible to work in Canada 
Currently Reside within commuting distance of the site
Ability to pass Use of Force, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and other certifications as required
