Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and compassionate Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) with certification and experience in Ultrasound and X-Ray to support one of our healthcare partners during a maternity leave assignment in Cochrane, Ontario.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate clinical results. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment while making a direct impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general radiography and ultrasound examinations in accordance with professional standards and clinic protocols
Ensure safe and appropriate operation of imaging equipment
Assess patients’ needs and explain procedures to promote comfort and cooperation
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Work closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to support diagnostic decisions

Qualifications & Requirements

Completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent
Current registration and good standing with CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year)
2-Step TB Test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
Immunization Records (including Varicella, MMR, TDap, Hep B, and others as per facility requirements)

Have you completed an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent recognized in Ontario?
Do you have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Medical Radiation Technologist?
Have you previously worked in a hospital or clinical setting performing both ultrasound and general radiography?
Do you have a Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 12 months?
Have you completed a 2-Step TB Test or Chest X-Ray within the past year?
