Marine Technician/Mechanic

DUTIES
The Marine Technician will conduct routine maintenance tasks on marine engines, electrical systems, and other components on vessels from 14’-50’ and engines from all major manufacturers both gasoline and diesel. Regular day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs. Install and test new equipment and systems on marine vessels. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed but above all provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in an upbeat positive manner.
FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
PDI and complete pre-delivery and final delivery inspections
Water test vessels to ensure proper operation of repairs performed.
Assisting with upkeep to the indoor and outdoor storage for over 350 vessels, a 55-slip harbor and mechanical and fiberglass repairs.
Maintaining excellent customer service relationships while effectively addressing
and resolving customer concerns in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Marine certification considered and asset. Ongoing training will be supported.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a marine technician/mechanic, automative
or heavy mechanic.
Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and other components
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in the marine industry
Hold a valid boat operator’s license.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of different types of boats and their mechanics.
Familiarity with boat winterization techniques and storage requirements is essential.
Highly responsive and committed to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction in
a timely manner.
Adapt to varying weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.

and arms. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg
and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
