When you join our team as an Industrial Mechanic you repair, maintain, weld and adjust sawmill equipment and machines. When you work at a sawmill, you’ll discover that they process more than just forest products, they improve our communities.
What you will do
Repair equipment: conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, automated systems, etc. (including welding work);
Identify the cause of breakdowns or malfunctions of machinery and carry out the necessary repairs;
Install/optimize/adjust all plant equipment to maximize efficiency;
Respond to emergency situations during mechanical breakdowns affecting operations;
Operate machining tools to manufacture parts.
What you will offer
DEC in industrial mechanics or DEP in industrial maintenance (equivalent experience could also do well);
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintaining industrial equipment (especially if it is in the sawing industry);
The toolbox necessary for this work;
Be available to work day, afternoon or night shifts (including weekends);
Efficient and organized;
Analytical, conscientious and rigorous;
Team player with initiative;
Efficient, but safe (compliance with current standards).
