Full job description
Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling, Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Third Party adjudication (if necessary),
Accurate dispensing prescription medications,
Maintenance of pharmacy stock and expires.
General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary,
Handling customer prescription pick up,
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
Delivering superior customer service
Performing all technical aspects of dispensing of prescriptions, including receiving the order/refill, procuring complete and current information, computer entry, preparation and labeling in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion. This may include compounding or reconstituting of delegated by pharmacist
Inputting prescriptions using pharmacy software, updating patient profile information.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients or healthcare providers
Assisting with maintenance of pharmacy equipment including computers.
Identifying and referring any clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Clerical duties including completing all records, documentation and patient or third party billings/charges, preparing receipts, invoices, letters, memos and general filling
Performing duties as assigned
Fillware Knowledge is an asset
Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacy assistant

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 44 per week
