Job Description
Assist with loading and unloading trailers, ensuring proper handling of goods and materials
Maintain a clean and organized dock area, including regular sweeping, trash removal, and tidying
Conduct routine inspections of dock equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
Participate in general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and facilities on the property
Help with minor repairs and painting projects as directed by supervisors
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment
Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
Provide excellent customer service to visitors and clients when interacting on the property
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Summer Student Dock/Property Maintenance Worker position should possess the following:
Valid G class driver’s license
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software applications
Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn
Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures or willingness to learn
Painting skills and attention to detail
Basic construction and repair abilities
Thorough understanding of cleaning techniques and products
Familiarity with building maintenance practices
Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of property upkeep and customer service.
