Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires strong driving skills, a commitment to excellent service, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.
Duties
-Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
-Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
-Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
-Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
-Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
-Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
-Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
-Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
-Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
-Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
-Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is advantageous.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
-Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-3 years of driving experience preferably
-25 years of age preferably
-Reference checks
