Cardiac Sonographer

NeoHealth Cardiology is a new cardiology clinic in Sudbury run by Dr. Andreas Kumar.
We are looking for a cardiac sonographer to enhance our team.
This is an opportunity to start a new clinic with a new team. We are aiming to create a highly professional, friendly and supportive team that will provide top-quality patient care.

The office will be led by Dr. Kumar, who is a fellowship-trained multi-modality imager (level 3 training in echocardiography). The candidates can expect highest level feedback, regular case review/ teaching and ongoing support for their professional growth.
Requirement and expectations:
• Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program
• Must be eligible for certification for cardiac imaging with Sonography Canada or ARDMS
• Member in good standing or eligible for membership with the CMRITO
• Must be fully licensed or eligible for licensing to practice in Ontario, Canada
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and teamwork, excellent bedside manners
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills Outstanding bedside manners and professionalism
Key tasks will include:
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms on patients and university research participants
• Perform advanced studies including contrast echos, bubble studies, strain imaging and 3D imaging. Limited training can be provided.
• Perform stress echocardiography
• Manage and maintain the ultrasound unit
• Recognize and correct artefacts
• Provide a preliminary report for the physician
• Maintain regular interaction with the supervising cardiologist to ensure top-quality care
• Participate in echo rounds and maintenance of certification activities, quality control activities and continuous medical education opportunities
• Support the healthcare team to provide best possible patient care
