Qualifications

Minimum Education

·        Post-secondary Degree with an emphasis in Accounting

·        Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) is an asset

·        Payroll Compliance Professional certification or equivalent would be considered an asset

Minimum  Experience

·        Minimum 3 years progressive

experience in an accounting position

·        Experience in not-for-profit organizations such as child wellbeing, child welfare or human services

Knowledge  Requirements

·        Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·        Accounting procedures

·        Current trends and best practices within the accounting and budgeting fields

·        Agency’s mission, vision, strategic objectives, and non-service-related policies and procedures

·        Familiarity with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and related operations

·        The Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers

Other Requirements

·        Satisfactory Police Record Check

·        Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Drivers licence,

access to a vehicle & ability to travel

·        $1M auto insurance liability coverage

·        Three year (3) uncertified Drivers
