Full Job Description & Tasks:
• Knowledge with wheelabrator & sandblasting machines, material & processes
• Knowledge of industrial painting processes
• Organize paint inventory
• Select appropriate paint or mix paints
• Operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective coatings
• Operate equipment to spray or coat
• Application methods: Airless gravity pump, brush & hand-held spray guns
• Maintain a clean work area
• Maintain and clean equipment
Asset: Overhead Crane Certification
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Manual dexterity – bending crouching, kneeling
• Physically demanding – sitting, standing for extended amounts of time, walking
• Repetitive Tasks
• Handling heavy loads – ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Personal Suitability:
• A team player with consistent attendance
• Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Health and Safety
Required:
• Own transportation to shop
• Steel-toed safety boots
