Child Care Supervisor, Level 3, R.H Murray

The Child Care Supervisor is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, administration, and quality of an assigned child care site. Reporting to the Director, Child Care Services & Pedagogy, the Supervisor provides leadership to educators and support staff while ensuring high-quality, inclusive, and compliant early learning and child care programs. The Supervisor plays a key role in supporting employee success, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring high-quality experiences for children and families. The Child Care Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of an assigned child care site, including staffing, scheduling, health and safety, regulatory compliance, programming, administration, and family engagement. The role involves supervising and mentoring staff, supporting high-quality child-centred programming, managing documentation and operational requirements, monitoring enrollment and resources, and contributing to organizational initiatives and partnerships. Candidates must be a registered ECE in good standing with the CECE, have 3–5 years of licensed child care experience, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required, as the position involves regular travel within the service area. The role is fast-paced and requires flexibility, as well as the ability to lift up to 16 kg (40 lbs), participate in floor-level activities, and assist with cleaning, room setup, and other operational needs.
