Compassionate Personal Support Worker required part time for private in-home personal care. The home provides a clean, safe, work environment that is completely barrier free and smoke free. The male quadriplegic is a Self Manager with the Provincial Direct Funding Program for Self-Managed Attendant Services.
A full scope of personal care services will be required to assist with daily living needs. Also included are range of motion exercises, manual transfers to and from a motorized wheelchair, attend medical appointments and occasional errands.
This part time position offers 11 hours per week to cover 3-4 days of service. On average a morning service requires 2-3 hours and evening bed time assistance is 1 hour.
A Personal Support Worker Certificate and experience in an asset but training will be provided.
Must possess clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, and Ontario Driver’s License and provide professional references.
