Putter’s at Stone Ridge Golf Course – Elliot Lake

Stone Ridge Golf Course, an 18-hole public course in Elliot Lake, is seeking a skilled and motivated Head Cook to lead the kitchen at our onsite restaurant, Putter’s. This is an opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to oversee seasonal restaurant and catering operations in a dynamic golf course environment serving members, guests, and tournament participants.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

Proven experience in kitchen leadership and food service management
Demonstrated culinary experience in a high-volume environment
Valid Safe Food Handling Certification and Smart Serve Certification
Experience supervising and scheduling staff
Familiarity with AGCO rules and regulations
Knowledge of industry best practices in food safety and kitchen operations
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all food service and catering operations, ensuring professional, responsive, and welcoming service to members, guests, and tournament participants
Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
Develop menus, conduct cost analysis, and manage inventory and reporting
Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all menu items in accordance with established standards
Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
Ensure adherence to all public health, safety, and AGCO regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, food storage, and work areas
Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules, including dish and pot washing as required
Work collaboratively with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure smooth and efficient service
Communicate regularly with the Pro Shop and Head of Maintenance regarding tournaments and special events
Meet with customers to plan catering services for events and tournaments
