Bathroom Renovator
Elliot Lake Retirement Living (ELRL) is the leading provider of rental housing to retired and non-retired individuals in the province. ELRL owns a total of 1,375 residential units in the City of Elliot Lake.
We seek a skilled and detail-oriented part-time Bathroom Renovator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bathtub replacement, drywall repair, and tile installation, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. This role is integral to delivering outstanding bathroom renovation solutions that exceed customer expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bathtub Replacement:
Remove and replace existing bathtubs with precision and care, minimizing disruption to surrounding structures.
Ensure proper installation, sealing, and alignment of new bathtubs.
Address any plumbing adjustments required for seamless integration.
Drywall Repair and Installation:
Patch and repair damaged drywall caused by demolition or water damage.
Install new drywall as needed and prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
Ensure smooth and even finishes that align with surrounding walls.
Tile Work:
Install, repair, or replace bathroom tiles, including floors, walls, and backsplashes.
Cut and shape tiles as required to fit specific areas with precision.
Grout and seal tiles to ensure durability and water resistance.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and customer expectations.
Address any issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bathtub installation, drywall repair, and tile work.
Familiarity with plumbing basics and ability to perform minor plumbing tasks.
Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or project specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials, such as bathtubs and tiles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
