Community Support Worker
Working as part of the Health and Well-Being Team, the worker will provide culturally
appropriate and comprehensive community support services and programming to
community members with a focus on healthy families.
Ontario Works Administrator
Completing all administrative and financial functions to ensure effective, efficient
and accurate operations of the Ontario Works program for Sheshegwaning and
Zhiibaahaasing First Nations, in accordance with Ontario Works directives, current
legislation and policy.
Director of Human Resources
Supporting the Human Resource needs of Sheshegwaning First Nation, including
recruitment & retention, compensation, labour relations, employee benefits, staff
training, etc. within legislative and policy parameters.
Educational/Teacher’s Assistant (St. Joseph’s Anishinabek School)
Working with Classroom Teacher(s) to assist students with lessons, promote mental,
emotional, physical and spiritual health of students, supervise students, as required,
and increase cultural awareness.
Child and Family Advocate
Supporting and advocating for Sheshegwaning First Nation families, children and
youth with respect to child welfare matters, guided by Sheshegwaning child welfare
model and community-based approaches.
Driver
Transporting community members to appointments, picking up pertinent supplies,
doing deliveries, as required.
Principal (St. Joseph’s Anishinabek School)
Leading staff and students at St. Joseph’s Anishinabek School to promote development,
learning and well-being, ensuring that the cultural traditions of Sheshegwaning First
Nation are upheld.
