Homemaking Services Worker

Sheshegwaning First Nation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to provide homemaking services to elderly and disabled persons in Sheshegwaning and Zhiibaahaasing First Nations.  The Homemaker will report to the Health Director.

Overview:

This person will work closely with the Health Centre Team to:

·       Provide homemaking services to the elderly and disabled persons

·       Co-ordinate schedules to meet the needs of the clients in a timely manner

Qualifications:

·       Excellent communication and organization skills

·       Compassion and understanding

·       The ability to work unsupervised

·       Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector criminal reference check

·       G driver’s license

·       Knowledge/understanding of the Anishinaabe language, customs and traditions would be an asset

Required Services:

·       Washing of floors, windows and walls as needed

·       Cleaning bathrooms

·       Doing laundry

·       Changing bed linens

·       Cleaning fridges

·       Cleaning Stoves

·       Other related duties as requested

Salary: $20.48 per hour
