Construction Estimator

Strategic Roofing Company is an established roofing contractor with over 15 years of experience serving residential and commercial clients. We specialize in flat and shingle roofing systems and are known for our commitment to quality workmanship, accurate project planning, and excellent customer service.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented team member to prepare accurate cost estimates for roofing and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience reading plans, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for flat and shingle roofing projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material costing
• Request and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Prepare and submit bid packages and proposals
• Maintain estimating databases and job cost records
• Work closely with project managers and the operations team
• Attend site visits when required

Qualifications:
• Experience in roofing is an asset
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills

Requirements:
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Valid driver’s license is an asset
