Summer Student Positions-16 years old and up : 20-40 hour work week
Monday to Thursday 9:00am-3:30pm and Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm
General labourer position for wrapping lumber.
Assist with sort line operation:
Ø Prepare units for sorting
Ø Ensure ‘outs’ material is piled
Ø Operate lumber stacker and outfeed chains
Ø Prepare strapping material (i.e. Cutting Banding, Placing Dunnage)
Assist with wrap bay operations:
Ø Operate handheld tools (i.e. Pneumatic Stapler, Stinger Cap Stapler, Hammer-Tac, Utility knife)
Ø End tag units as required
Ø Assist with the wrapping of units (i.e. Cutting Tarps, Securing Tarps)
Assist with receiving operations:
Ø Unit tagging inbound product
Operate electric banding tools
Operate RF scanner
Other Duties as Required
WHIMIS 2015 – Training Provided
Opinionable machine training pathways
Optional Joint Health and Safety Committee involvement
