Fundraising and Marketing Specialist

The position will allow you to develop a communication plan that is measurable and tangible to be followed up with implementing the plan to raise funds for this great cause.

As the Fundraising and Marketing specialist, you can sharpen your social media marketing skills by creating and scheduling dynamic content and tracking analytics.

You will also gain experience in event planning

Create, manage and participate in numerous summer online and in person fundraising events in Sudbury

Qualifications:

. Applicants must live in the Greater Area of Sudbury

Fundraising experience. Excellent grasp of marketing a brand with attention to detail and professionalism Project management with objective & strategies that are measurable.

Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills are key for raising money and encouraging participation in The Terry Fox Run and for event interaction.
Per the Canada Summer Jobs Articles of Agreement:

Position begins: June 9, 2025

Position Ends: September 19

Length & time: 10 to 30 hours per week

Beginning June9, approximately 10 hours a week will be required. This number will ramp up to 30 hours a week as the event, which is on Sunday, September 14, 2025 becomes closer.

Weekends as needed

$18.70 per hour

As this is a Government of Canada student grant, the successful applicant must be:

a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred; and someone who may legally work according to the relevant Ontario legislation & regulations. Please note that international students are not eligible to apply.
