The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is now accepting resumes to fill the position of
MAINTENANCE WORKER
(Primary work location-Recreation Center)
Description of Position
This position is mainly duties performed with in the Recreation Center which includes ice maintenance and driving the ZAMBONI but also includes general maintenance and cleaning of the building.
The Recreation Maintenance Workers are also responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning of the Town Office, All other town operated buildings, parks and playgrounds.
Skill requirements
General labourer skills including carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical
The ability to do physical labour including lifting and lugging
The ability to change tasks quickly
The ability to work with customers in a professional and courteous manner
The ability to follow instructions and think ahead
Tha ability to work alone and with others.
A Positive and Teamwork Attitude
Duties
This position will include different daily functions however the main duties will include;
Due to season duties will change
Minor repairs and maintenance
Manual labour
Ice maintenance
Painting
Cleaning
