Summer Employment
Curator’s Assistant, Little Schoolhouse and Museum in South Baymouth
This is a hands-on, rewarding work experience for those interested in a career in the heritage sector. The successful applicant will conduct educational group tours, research and catalogue artifacts, design museum displays and more. Enjoying working with the public is an absolute must. Knowledge of the cataloguing program Past Perfect would be considered an asset. The Curator’s assistant will be working with the Curator, and museum volunteers, but will also be expected to work alone.
Eligible applicants must be:
– Between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
– Returning to school in the fall
– A Canadian citizen, or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada
– Legally entitled to work in Canada
– Registered in the Young Canada Works online candidate inventory
