Line Cook/Prep Cook
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry and eager to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
Cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation
Assist with food preparation tasks such as marinating, portioning, and plating dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitation of work surfaces and equipment
Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure health standards are met
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
Restock supplies as needed and communicate inventory shortages to management
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
Prior experience in serving or assisting in a restaurant setting is a plus
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and basic cooking techniques is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20-$24.47 per hour
