The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Skilled Labourers to join our team. This is a hands-on field position suited for a safety-conscious, reliable individual who takes pride in operating equipment and tools, supporting site preparation and construction activities, and being part of a team that delivers quality work safely and efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day

Perform daily pre-ops and attend daily safety meetings.
Safely operate all required equipment and tools.
Assist in demolition activities, including dismantling structures, removing debris, and preparing the site for new construction and projects.
Assist with various tasks including but not limited to fusing pipes, raking on grade, and dewatering.
Assist equipment operators, and other skilled labours when necessary.
Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure all materials are properly secured.
Assist in the organization and storage of yard materials and supplies.
Report any issues or damage in the yard to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain clean, organized equipment and work areas
Perform physical work including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, climbing, standing for prolonged periods of time, and working in varied conditions including inclement weather.
Work evenings and weekends as required
Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision
You Are a Good Fit If You Have

Required:

Valid G Class Driver’s License
Considered an Asset:

Previous experience in the construction industry
Surface Miner Common Core certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:

Ability to use basic tools and equipment (e.g. hand tools, power tools, etc.)
Strong communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
