As a cook you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals to meet the nutritional needs of the
residents, while consistently maintaining the relevant health, hygiene, and safety standards. As an

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring all meals are served on time, at appropriate temperatures and in portion-controlled
quantities.
Preparing food for cooking, cleaning, and processing all raw ingredients
Prepare meals for residents following the regular and therapeutic menu.
Serving meals to residents following the posted dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
Following safe food handling practices and sanitation regulations
Rotating all food supplies and ensures all stored and prepared food is properly labeled.
Supporting resident preferences and choices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Food service worker certificate, or willing to be enrolled with employment.
Previous cooking experience in an institutional setting, preferably long-term care.
Demonstrate knowledge of safe food handling practices.
Fluency in the Ojibway language would be a definite asset, or willingness to learn.
