2 positions, 2 permanent Full-time &#8211; (Magnetawan First Nation (1), Shawanaga First Nation (1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reporting to the Team Supervisor, the Child Protection Worker is responsible for a varied caseload including investigating and assessing matters pertaining to children\/youth in need of protection; providing support services to families, children\/youth, Alternative Care providers, Kin Care placements and supporting children\/youth in and out-of-home placements in accordance with the Child Youth and Family Services Act, Ministry Standards, Child Protection Protocols, Risk Assessment tools, Agency Policies and Procedures and First Nation Standards of Practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary: $96,810.00 to $117,784.00\u00a0 Total Compensation includes: OMERS pension plan, comprehensive Health Benefits plan, statutory and agency holidays, competitive vacation, Employee Assistance Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum education is a Community College Diploma in Social Services<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor of Social Work Degree Preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous direct experience in a social services agency would be an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Knowledge Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respect for, sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishnabek culture, traditions and the Seven Grandfather Teachings<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs and traditions in relation to Child Protection<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of external services and service agencies<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills and MS Office software<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services programs and services, or other services agencies would be an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Other Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check<\/li>\n<li>Provide a Class &#8216;G&#8217;
