The Sudbury-Est Health Community Initiative is a new accessible transportation program that will service Sudbury-Est. It is funded by the Ministry of Transportation and will be operated through Sudbury East Seniors Support Inc.
Sudbury East Seniors Support Inc. is looking to fill two part-time positions of driver, who, under the direction of the Transportation Manager, will primarily be responsible to transport clients to and from medical appointments.
The driver must possess the following:
Required Qualifications:
• Maintain own current driver’s license (G or equivalent)
• A Driver’s Abstract clear of uninsurable convictions
• Current, clean vulnerable sector check
• At least 21 years of age
• At least 3 years of driving experience in Canada
• Maintain a current First Aid/CPR
• Awareness and respect of cultural diversity of clients
• Knowledge and sensitivity to individuals with disabilities and disorders
• A defensive driving mindset and firm understanding of related techniques
• Ability to work well independently
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
• Bilingualism is an asset
