Safety Advisor

E. Corbiere and Sons Contracting, a family-owned contracting company operating since 2000, is looking to add a safety advisor to our team.

**Overview:**

The Safety Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.

**Responsibilities:**

– Develop and implement safety policies and procedures

– Conduct regular safety inspections and audits

– Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences

– Provide safety training to employees on various topics including hazard recognition and emergency response

– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices

– Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance

– Maintain Employee Training Matrix and 3rd party compliance sites (IE Contractor Compliance, ISNetworld); co-ordinate training as required.

– Assisting in Claims in the event of incidents/accidents, laisse with local and regional authorities, WSIB, MOL, MTO and other regulatory agencies. Be available in the event of an incident/accident during all field operating hours.

**Skills:**

– Prior experience in a health and safety role, preference will be given to those with experience in the construction industry.

– Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve safety performance

– Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) is preferred

This is an in-person role with occasional travel within North Eastern Ontario

Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
