The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for implementing key objectives in the Point Grondine Park Eco Resort and Campground Business Plan including; Phase 1 Operational Planning, Marketing/Branding and Visitor Experience programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative functions and day-to-day operations including supervision of Park staff. This position is locate at our head office on Manitoulin Island with travel to Point Grondine during the peak season as required.
DUTIES
- To administer Park bookings and visitor orientations
- Coordinate 2023/24 Park Operations including but not limited to operational planning, employee recruitment and training, and supervision of park staff
- To assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures for Phase 1 of the Eco Resort and Campground
- To assist in implementing the Parks communications and marketing campaigns
- To strengthen online presence of PG Park through website and social media
- Network and strengthen key partnerships with industry and government
- Will be responsible for community engagement on Park initiatives
- Attend industry training, tradeshows and conferences as required
- To assist with other Park initiatives and perform other assigned duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to College Graduates in Business, Marketing, Hospitality/Tourist and Fish and Wildlife
- Combined education and work experience will be considered
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Valid Ontario Drives License, access to a vehicle and ability/willingness to travel
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and networking skills
- Ability to organize and set priorities; work independently and contribute to the team dynamics
- Preference given to members of the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory and First Nations applicants, but not required
- Must be bondable
