Job Overview
We are activity recruiting for a Warehouse Leadhand at our Elliot Lake, Ontario operations.  In this role, the Warehouse Leadhand is responsible to plan, organize, supervise and participate in the activities of the warehouse operations. Ensures employee efficiency and quality of work being produced and maintain a safe, clean and productive work environment while ensuring proper documentation is completed timely.  Also responsible to ensure on time shipment, receipt and distribution of incoming supply and outgoing product.
Key Job Responsibilities
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
Responsibility to record daily, constraints preventing the warehouse team from achieving goals/targets.
Review scheduling requirements and cover absences by team members as required.
Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, parts, supplies or equipment; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.
Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups; prepare export documentation as required.
Supervise the processing of sales orders, requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursements of warehouse codes; complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels.
Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse and location system; assist cycle counting and physical inventory counts; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and reports.
Monitor automated warehousing system; operate a computer to enter data, correct errors and control key screens as required.
Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements
College Diploma in logistics or equivalent
Demonstrated coaching abilities to act as lead and provide direction/support in ambiguous situations and provide guidance and direction as required.
Ability to effectively work within fairly complex, fast-moving work environment under minimal supervision.
Ability to monitor other employees to ensure safe and quality work.
Five years minimum related warehousing experience with shipping/receiving
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong active listening skills
Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
Time management and organizational skills
Strong Computer literacy in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
