Medical Device Reprocessing Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The MDRT adheres to recognized industry standards and performs a series of detailed technical duties related to the disassembly, decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, functional testing, storage, and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and medical devices for various areas of the hospital and performs related clerical duties and record keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Licensure)
Required:
Certificate of MDRAO (formerly CSAO) medical device reprocessing technique course within last 5 years or willingness to complete
Certificate of Olympus Reprocessing Specialist Technician Course completion or willingness to complete
Preferred:
Education or experience in microbiology and aseptic technique
Medical Device Reprocessing certificate course from a College of Applied Arts and Technology or an Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (i.e. Mohawk or Seneca College or willingness to complete
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to provide regular attendance
Must be able to successfully complete a physical examination

WAGES
$24.93 – $26.66
