Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current; 3X Covid Vaccination. Police check and TB testing required.

DUTIES include: setting/clearing dining tables, portioning food selections from steamtable for residents as outlined; preparing beverage cart with coffee/tea, snacks; warewashing, garbage/laundry removal, sweeping, mopping; preparation of special labelled snacks, portioning of desserts
Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Public transportation firendly
Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents.
