EO026 Personal Support Worker

• $22.00-$25.00/hr depending on qualifications, with an additional .55 cents/km if client transportation is required.

· Part-time with a minimum of 10-17 hours/week to start, with the potential to gain full-time hours.

· We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide excellent quality support services for clients requesting assistance with IADL’s, & ADL’s in the North Bay & West Nipissing districts such as:

• Housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, respite care

• Assistance with Shopping & Errands, companionship for appointments

• Personal support with Ambulation, Personal Hygiene, Bathing &    Dressing

• Assistance with managing medications

• Minimum of Personal Support Worker certificate (PSW) and  CPR-C / First Aid Certificates

• Bilingualism is an asset

• Must have vehicle & appropriate Insurance coverage and valid Drivers license

• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to demonstrate Empathy & Compassion when interacting with clients and their families

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Professionalism, Honesty

• The successful candidate will be hired as an independent sub-contractor. Insurance, Employee Health Tax, Federal or Provincial income tax, Canada Pension Plan, Quebec Pension Plan contributions, statutory or other taxes or payments of any similar or other nature or kind are your responsibility.
