Under the direct supervision of the Senior Business Official and the general supervision of the
Senior Administration Team, the Communications Officer will focus on sharing communication
about daily activities with students, staff, parents, community, and partners across our
community and beyond.

• To update, develop, implement, revise, and track all multimedia presence;
• To develop, edit, monitor, support and coordinate all quality printed
communication materials and publications;
• To collect, record, compile, and maintain all public Wiikwemkoong Board of
Education events/outreach; and
• To develop, maintain and manage administrative duties related to work plan and

• Degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related
• Minimum of three years of working experience in the field of communication
involving the media sector assuming responsibilities in communications and/or public
