Position: Registered Early Childhood Educators (x3)
Location: Wiikwemkoong Hub Centre – Toy Library Resource Centre
Salary: Starting Salary $20.13 per hour
Start Date: Immediate

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the successful applicant will perform the
following duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure anishinaabemowin and cultural activities are mandatory of daily programming.
• Guide the children in their physical, social, cognitive, and language development.
• Supervise children during program activities and ensure their safety and health.
• Responsible for planning, managing, implementing and coordinating activities in the
designated area/room as assigned on staff schedule.
• Maintain appropriate information, documentation and maintain journals daily.
• Work cooperatively with other staff as per program delivery.
• Adhere to job description, schedules, childcare policies, and procedures set out in the Hub
Centre.
• Adhere to Ministry of Education – Child Care Early Years Act and procedures, the WUT and
WBE policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and in good standing or diploma in
related field with a willingness to work towards an Early Childhood Education Diploma
from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Standard First Aid/CPR a definite asset.
• Knowledge and appreciation of Anishinabek culture, traditions, language and history
• Provide a cover letter, resume, and three current work-related references;
• Provide a current original vulnerable/criminal reference check (within the last 90 days) upon
offer of employment.
